21 Pair Soccer Shoes Donated to St. Thomas School Children

Clarice Herbert Bailey Wellness Support Network (CHBWSN) continues to assist Jamaican school children in need.  CHB shipped 21 soccer shoes to St. Thomas school being proffered by Gary Foster.  According to Mr. Foster, he acknowledged that the soccer shoes were with customs in Jamaica, W.I. and that the process to retrieve them had begun.  The 21 pairs of soccer shows will be utilized by St. Thomas school student-athletes in their athletic community.  He also informed CHB representative, Mr. D. Bailey that pictures of the recipients wearing the soccer shoes will be taken and forwarded to the foundation.

Goals & Objectives

The primary program of the CHBWSN organization is Wellness Support: The Clarice-Herbert Bailey Wellness Support Network (CHBWSN) seeks to provide clinical, vital training, and support to the underserved communities throughout the District of Columbia who are experiencing the psychological effects of loss due to crime, poverty and violence in their communities.

The CHBWSN will also offer wellness and educational training to military and law enforcement officials who suffer from secondary trauma.

The CHBWSN will work with the traditional communities who experience discrimination due to race, religion, gender and sexual orientation to improve wellness.

Additionally, CHBWSN will partner with similar focused agencies to provide annual support via the Clarice Herbert Bailey scholarship fund by creating partnerships with our colleagues abroad to provide 6 to 10 students in the Jamaican diaspora school system with books, scholarships and technology to further their educational needs.
